When:  Friday, April 7th, from Noon until 2:00 PM

Where:  Tryon Creek State Natural Area, 11321 S Terwilliger Blvd, Portland, OR 97219

The Foodways initiative/ Community Cultures Through Food is beginning our spring season (Wild Foods) with an Intro to Foraging 2-hour walk at the Tryon Creek State Natural Area that will be led by Erika Ironwood. Erika will introduce participants to a variety of wild edible and medicinal plants that grow right here in our backyards.  Note: This walk requires good shoes and weather-appropriate gear!

Erika has been a forager and herbalist for 17 years and has been teaching publicly for five years. She is committed to demystifying foraging and to encouraging stewardship of wild places in the Pacific NW.

Attendance is open to all adults (adults-only, please). Space is limited; registration is required.
