Food as Medicine" classes (online via Zoom) are starting in January 18th. You can choose between one of two days/times for the series: from Tuesdays from 1-3 PM (starting Jan 18th) or Thursdays from 10 AM - Noon (starting Jan 20th). They are free, with each workshop lasting 90 minutes, a combination of lecture and discussion, with additional time for Q & A. This course was given last year and received very positive responses.
You will learn how nutritional needs change with age – and about the different foods which can support a healthy aging plan. The classes will be led by nutritionist Erin Fredericks, MS, the workshop includes a small-group format, take home workbook, recipes & resources, and self-assessments. All cooking levels are welcome.
The course will spotlight a different health topic each week, and will topics such as: Digestion and the gut, Microbiome strength and mobility, Brain resiliency, and Blood sugar balance.
