Set on a stretch of highway in a budget motel managed by Bobby, just outside the imagined utopia of Disney World, we follow six-year-old Moonie and her rebellious mother over the course of a single summer. The Florida Project contrasts the American Dream with the reality of poverty as seen through the eyes of an underrepresented population, i.e., children. Winner of Film Independent Spirit Award.
