Become a Villager

Darl Portrait
"I've lived in my house 46 years and I don't plan to move."

90% of older adults intend to stay in their homes. Most can with the support of a Village. We bring friendship and services to your door.

  • By volunteering and being neighborly, River West members expand our network of friends close to home.

  • We gather for coffee, walks, dining out and going to movies.

  • Villagers do those things you don’t want to do or perhaps shouldn’t or can’t do any more. We can help with household chores like turning a mattress, climbing a ladder and yard clean up. Maybe get your cat into the carrier for a trip to the vet or show you how to use your smart phone, tablet or computer.

  • Volunteers give rides for doctor’s appointments, errands and social activities – even at night or on weekends.
